12”x16” B/W Edition of 100 pcs-POSTER
The Plaza is located at 768 Fifth Ave and One Central Park South in Midtown Manhattan. It faces Central park South. Today it is a luxury hotel and condominium apartment building,
It was built in 1907 and renovated in 2008. It is an icon of NYC, with many famous quests from around the world.
My father was very simple in his dining tastes and chose diners and delicatessens over fancy restaurants. One exception was the Plaza. He enjoyed observing the patrons from all over the world and invited out of town guests to dine with my mother and him when they were in NYC.
During the late 1970's and early 1980's we celebrated special birthdays at the Plaza, dining in the Palm Court and Terrace Room.
The lithograph of The Plaza was released in 1980 (180 pieces).
The poster was printed and promoted at the NY ART EXPO, 1981. Many were signed in person by Emanuel Schary.
