Acre, a city in northeast Israel, lies along the Mediterranean Sea at the north end of the Bay of Haifa. It is a natural harbor and a target for Palestine’s many invaders over the centuries. The earliest mention of Acre is in an Egyptian text - 19th century BC. Also called the Crusader City, Acre is a city of labyrinth alleys and streets. The city has architecture from the Ottoman conquerors. It was designated as a Unesco World Heritage site in 2001.
Road to Acre was painted in Israel during a family trip with my mother.
