Jeremiah is known as the weeping prophet. He was a prophet to the southern Kingdom of Judah in the Old Testament, right before Judah fell to Babylon. God sent Jeremiah to the crumbling nation to warn them of their demise, but they did not listen. He was Pessimistic about the present and foresaw a catastrophic future, but his legacy was one of hope. Jeremiah 29:11 has offered hope to believers. He brought words of comfort and promise.
