10”x14”/ B/W edition 180 pieces
The Ides of Fall is not mentioned specifically in the Bible, but is in the Roman calendar-"the fall." The Ides was a day in the Roman calendar that marked the first full moon of the month. Ides comes from Latin and is translated as "to divide." The Ides fell on different days each month, depending on the month's length. In March it is always on the 15th. In the bible- "the fall" refers to the rebellion of God's image bearers in the garden of Eden. The Kingdom of God is far better than any kingdom, and is the exact opposite of the great Kingdoms we've seen rise and fall in history. The explanation for the title of this lithograph was that is completed on March 15th,1969.
