My father loved music, especially cantorial. In the background on the billboard is a Billboard of Jan Peerce (Yehoshua Pincus Permulth), a friend of my dad's playing Carnegie Hall. I remember my mother calling me while I was working and asking me what I was wearing. She immediately told me I needed dress pants, a tie, and a jacket to meet her, my father, and Alice Permulth at Carnegie Hall. We sat together in a box seat reserved for celebrities. It was an experience I will never forget.
In this piece, my father showed his humor by adding my sister's name, A.Dee , and my mother's name - Judith Schary. This Lithograph hangs inside Carnegie Hall- 57th street and 7th Ave, NYC.
This piece was also done as a special commission 100 pieces as well as a limited edition poster.
